Completed projects
So much has been achieved so far in the regeneration of Crewe. To date, the projects have been concentrated on creating new uses for the town centre, to bring more people in to Crewe. We will add new projects to these pages as they are completed.

Lyceum Square – Ly²
In Spring 2021, the Market Hall will reopen following an exciting refurbishment programme. It will transform into a vibrant hub, as part of Cheshire East Council’s Crewe town centre regeneration programme.
Cheshire East Council was allocated funding from the government’s Accelerated Towns Fund and UK Shared Prosperity Fund for an improvement scheme for the Lyceum Square and adjacent areas.
As well as a new events stage with an integrated digital screen, there is colourful and multi-functional street furniture and improvements have been made to key gateways into the square, including floor graphics and a wall mural.
Market Hall

Crewe Engineering & Design UTC
Crewe UTC opened in 2017. It is a state of the art facility with aims to teach and develop a new generation of engineers, innovators, technicians and designers.
Crewe Lifestyle Centre
The Lifestyle Centre was opened in 2016 and brings together leisure facilities, the Library and community services under one roof.
