Pocket Parks
What is the project?
The Pockets Park project is being led in partnership by Cheshire East Council, Ansa Environmental Services – the council’s wholly-owned environmental services company – and Crewe Town Council.
It aims to see eight pocket parks in Crewe become more attractive and better equipped spaces for people to spend time, play and enjoy physical activity.
Here are the design boards for the first four pocket parks, which will be completed in 2024. They are located at Queen Street, Derby Docks, McLaren Street and School Crescent.

Local communities are being asked to share their views as plans for each of the pocket parks develop, to help shape the final designs. We will be consulting on Samuel Street and Lime Tree Avenue shortly and Valley Park and Westminster Street in 2025.
Designs for Samuel Street and Lime Street Avenue will be shared in April/May 2024 and a consultation will follow.
As part of the overall project, local charity The Wishing Well, which provides a variety of services to improve the health and wellbeing of local people, is proposing to deliver a multi-use games area (MUGA) near to Jubilee Gardens in Hightown.
