We are all Crewe

“We now have an unrivalled opportunity to change the narrative and write a new chapter in the history of Crewe.”

Crewe has been shortlisted to be eligible for up to £25m of funding through the ‘Towns Fund’. We’ve set up a Town Board for Crewe – made up of representatives from the community, public, private and voluntary sectors – to oversee the bid. Members have been talking to communities and leaders across the town to gather project proposals and find out what outcomes people want to see.

A final list of projects will feed into Crewe’s 10-year Town Investment Plan, ready for the final bid submission in January 2021.

The board will also help to oversee the delivery of projects already in the pipeline, including the town centre regeneration and the HS2 Hub station. This is to ensure everyone works together to achieve the same vision for Crewe and the wider area.

Have your say

We would love to hear from you and share ideas. If you have any thoughts or suggestions about the town centre, our culture and heritage, connecting places, community spaces or anything else – please let us know.

Who are we?

We are a team of representatives from Crewe’s civic and business community. Together we have come together to form a Town Board for Crewe. We are currently developing a Town Investment Plan to secure up to £25m in Government funding for Crewe the town as part of the Government Towns Fund Initiative.

Our vision

Crewe will be a revitalised place: a special place shaped by its engineering and railway past and present, established as the urban heart of the area it serves, and confident about its future.

Success to date

So much has already been achieved in pushing forward with Crewe’s transformation, and we believe the town and wider area has an even brighter future ahead.
