What is the project?

The Cumberland Arena is already a key leisure site for Crewe, but it has the potential to do more for the local and wider community.

This project, led by Everybody Health and Leisure and Cheshire East Council, will provide new studios, meeting spaces, accessible changing facilities and a spectator seating area. Four new changing rooms for athletes, footballers and general users of the site alongside dedicated facilities for officials will also be delivered.

The upgrades will allow multiple activities to go on at the same time – something the site has never been able to offer previously.

Work to delivere these improvements is set to begin in March 2025.
